Episode Flashback: When Gilmores Attack
Fans who were frustrated with the new turns GG's Season Six took (drama overload, surprise daughters, feuding Gilmores) found some solace in "Friday Night's Alright for Fighting," an old-school episode where the Gilmores just plain had it out over dinner.
Just think of all the issues that come to the table:
*Emily and Richard didn't believe Lorelai about the Huntzbergers' rudeness until they saw it firsthand at the DAR party.
*Rory's suddenly letting Christopher pay for college instead of Emily and Richard (but she hasn't TOLD Emily and Richard yet).
*Lorelai's dealing with a shaky engagement, a postponed wedding, and a distant fiancé. And now a crazy family dinner.
*Emily and Richard still have some underlying issues about Rory staying with them while she took time off from Yale.
It's the first time these four have faced off in one room in quite some time, and, paired with some fancy-schmancy camera work, it makes for some darn good television -- one of the more memorable Friday night dinners, we think.
Relive the drama: read a recap, see pics from the emotionally-charged evening, and tell us -- was this the most memorable Friday night dinner ever? Or were there others from past seasons that make your list?

I love "Friday night's made for fighting" I love that one. It's the best! I love at the end when they are all sitting around looking dazed, confused and exausted. The whole Luke and Lorelai thing is getting on my nerves. I want Chris and Lor to get together, but I don't think they should have slept together on the last episode. I agree that Kelly Bishop should have been nominated for an Emmy. I loved it when Emily and Richard were fighting in the background on "Friday nights alright for fighting" that was great!
I hope that they don't drag things out so much on season seven - that's very annoying.

The best dinner was in season 2 when Chris showed up after he went back to Sherry and Lorelai raked him over the coals. I'd like to see more of that Lorelai this season.
What happened to Lorelai to think that Chris was someone who could be trusted? This show has sunk to the bottom of tv.
GG is morally bankrupt and Lorelai Gilmore was turned into the most pathetic character on television. I don't like her and I doubt I ever will again.
Someone posted that they cannot watch old episodes of this show and I feel the same way. It was destroyed during season 6.
The writers have a chance to rescue it, but from their own promotions, it sounds like season 7 will sink even lower than last season. I'll watch the first episode, but if it is a continuation of Partings, I'll part company with the formerly beloved Gilmore Girls.
I'll miss Luke. He's the only reason to tune in these days.
I hate Chris. 13 Episodes? What were they thinking?

my favorite friday night dinner would be the one in season one when Lorelai decided to accept Max's proposal and her and Rory were jumping up and down and screaming. it's so funny when they have those moments at emily and richards place and they don't tell them what is really going on.

While I was really disappointed with last season on the whole, I still think that there's hope for Season Seven. The Palladinos are gone. There's a fresh new face leading the way. I'll give it a few chances before I totally give up...

I can't seem to watch even the old episodes of GG and enjoy them anymore. I keep seeing that dead look in Lorelai's eyes and the s**t eating grin plastered on Christopher's face from Partings. Last season's crappy story line concluding with that scene has ruined any pleasure I get from this show. I just wish I understood what the fans ever did to deserve this?

Gilmore Girls has now jumped the shark. Expect this season to be a big slide down to rock bottom. Sorry GG fans, I had to go through it with 7th Heaven a few years back and now you do too. Suck it up!

I like any dinner where Emily blows her top off. When she's really mad at Lorelai you can just see the stream come out of those evil ears of hers!
That woman is always on fire, and I lurve it! I think she's the one who's always robbed of an Emmy nom, not Lauren.

I liked the one in season 5 when Logan comes to dinner, totally charms Emily and Richard, and sneakily exchanges their knick-knacks. I adore Logan and he really spiced up what could've been a dull dinner!
