At first I was just slightly amused by the fan comments, but then I start reading that people are crying because they might never meet Jensen in person, I mean, C'mon. How do you think he'd react to reading these? Personally, I'd be a little freaked out.

Some advice: Tone it down a bit, (who am I kidding), A LOT and you might get a chance to talk to him before scaring him away.

And, for the record. I think the guys are phenomenal actors, on par with any of the bigger names out there and they deserve the respect they've earned. They are more than just hotties.

I adore Supernatural. My best friend told me about it and how much she loved it but I was not about to participate because I can't handle scary. But she talked me into it and my first episode was actually Bloody Mary and I watched it over the top of a pillow. Wicked scary... but I kept watching the show after that and couldn't wait to see the episodes I had missed (although alot of them were watched through fingers or over a pillow) I kept watching not only because the boys are hott (duh, that's always a good enough reason) but also because on top of being wicked scary, it's funny. Sometimes I laugh and can't stop. Also my best friend and I watch it together over the phone, she moved away a few years ago but this is still something we can do together and that's really the best part for me. I drove four hours yesterday to the other side of North Carolina to surprise my best friend for the season two finale so we could actually watch a whole episode together in person and it was an awesome idea (amazing episode) I was on this site this morning hoping to find info about season three and came about these messages and laughed at alot of them. Married, not married, dating, stalkers, it amazes me the things that fans find to fight about. Can't we all just get together and talk about the greatness that is Supernatural? Also, hello, Dean giving up his soul for Sam. Amazing. We never even saw the crossroads coming! Writers keep up the great work!~

I love love loved dean in gilmore girls and was crushed when he left but I love him in his character sam I think he is great actor and he was even good in cheaper by the dozen as a bully and I even liked his character in house of wax even though I didn't really care to much for the movie

The comment in that article annoyed me too. Jared and Jensen are both handsome guys, each in their own way. The article should have mentioned his phenomenal ACTING ability rather than try to sort out who's hotter.

And I completely agree about the network's marketing so far. Way too much freakin green and not enough focus on what the shows are about.

I watch it for the show itself. I'd never heard of either actor before I watched the pilot episode last year. Believe it or not, women are capable of liking for more than one thing. In fact most of us probably wouldn't watch 'just for the pretty', there always needs to be something else to grab your interest. Lots of shows have hot guys, but not lots of shows have what Supernatural does--in terms of story, chemistry between the actors and talent. They do a great job.

But yes I do think Jensen is impossibly beautiful. :) But also incredibly talented. I can name lots of other actors who are hot but I don't watch any of their tv shows every week.

Dissing aside (very unprofessional to express a personal, subjective and non-pertinent opinion in an article like that), the rumour is false. IGN has talked to Jensen's rep, and they've never heard of the project. It's nothing more than a rumour.

I'm personally a Jensen girl. He's a gorgeous guy, Jared is definitely cute, but he just doesn't have that 'it' thing. Jensen and Jared are both incredible actors but Jensen's had more experience and he's the one who jumps out in most scenes. :)

Of course, I might pause on a pretty face but if the characters or the show didn't have anything else going for it I wouldn't still be watching. I've seen Jensen in other shows and there just wasn't enough there to keep my attention. Smallville didn't know what to do with him and I just got frustrated. WEll, Smallville in general got boring for me so I tuned out.

Dean Winchester kicks butt, though. He's fun, cool, strong, often selfless, and needy. All at the same time. Love love love when they have the character interact with children. He is my tv husband. Who clearly has no problems cheating on me with the likes of girls named Brandi with an "i". Or was that with a "y"? heh. Of course, since I'm married, I guess I can't complain;)

Now, as for The CW's horrid advertising, I just don't understand it. I was sitting watching something the other day, with a friend, and they saw a commercial for the CW and she commented on not knowing what ANY of the shows were about. They're so busy trying to push their theme of green, that the actual products, you know, the SHOWS, are not being allowed to speak to their prospective audiences. If they want new viewers, the kind that usually write off the "WB type shows", then they need to show that the shows are more than just about the physical appearance. Show what the friggin' shows are about and let the appropriate audiences find them.

Their campaign keeps saying stuff like "free to be different" and yet here they are with their theme of green and every ad looking the same for every show. Hello? SHOW that the shows are different. SHOW people what Supernatural is all about. Otherwise, people are going to write it off as just another show with a couple of pretty boys on it.

Im more of a Jared Gal, but come on Jensen is gorgous!!! they must be mad if they dont think hes good looking enough.

Speaking of disses, I think the CW is doing a horrible job advertising Supernatural. The CW is really making me sick, and if it weren't for Supernatural I would completely ignore it. And if I could last long enough I wouldn't watch until Season two came out on DVD, but I love the show too much to do that.

I watch it for the story! :) My shows are almost always gritty, violent type things, and I stayed away from this one for a really long time because I was sure it was going to be just another WB "pretty boys" kind of show. I ended up watching one ep ("Faith", the one with the faith healer and the reaper) while avoiding work one night, and was really impressed with JA's acting. I didn't think either of the guys were very goodlooking (I'm 25, but my hotness scale tends to skew older), but I enjoyed his performance and the dusty, midwest feel of the show enough that I tuned in again, and got hooked pretty quickly (and now think Ackles is the hottest thing alive, but again, I think that's partly due to how much I enjoy watching him act). FWIW, there's more to the show than the pretty boys, but I'm sure a good bit of the fanbase is in it for that aspect, too. :)

That aside, I do actually watch the show for something other than the pretty faces. Pretty faces don't keep me interested in a show for long if the characters are rich and multifacted. Which Dean most certainly is. I watch because Dean is a compelling character to watch. The show itself is good but not great (just needs some tweaking here and there) but it's plenty entertaining.

The brother stuff is really what keeps the show interesting.
