Veronica Mars: Fantastic Episode... If You Ignore The Plot Holes
There was so much to love about this episode, but we can't help but be distracted by one minor thing – you know, the fact that Veronica could have solved the case in approximately 2.5 seconds if she'd just bothered to actually examine the evidence when she first walked into the room. Come on, writers – that's the sort of rookie mistake our Veronica would never make. What are you doing to us?
Oh, well – we suppose we can write it off as Veronica being distracted by the Piz/Logan situation, not to mention the fact that Desmond was being such an ass. And if Veronica had solved the case immediately, we would have been deprived of the joy of watching Paul Rudd act out as a dissipated indie rock god, which made our night. We'll give you a pass on this one, writers – but don't do it again.
And Desmond was such an ass – but we can almost see why, if he's been reduced to basically performing karaoke on stage, singing along to a tape. (Insert your own Britney Spears joke here.) We didn't think we'd be at all interested in his redemption, but damned if Paul Rudd didn't pull it off and make us care. By the final concert scene, we were cheering and squealing along with the crowd. What'd you think of Desmond?
But enough tough love – on to the stuff we liked.
We loved Piz's geek-off with the rival DJ – who knew there could be so much posturing and preening over music trivia? And any episode that prompts Veronica to admit she was on the dance team – albeit a "dance teamer with a deep soul" – is pretty great in our book.
Plus, this episode was heavy on the Mac and Wallace snark. Oh, Wallace – how we've missed you! We loved him mocking Veronica for indulging in girl talk about Piz – all while watching a quintessential girly movie. Nice job, Wallace. And Mac! We do think Bronson is quite the hottie, but we have to admit, Max makes a better match for her. We're impressed that she had the guts to give up a good-but-not-great thing for the prospects of something better. Do you think she made the right choice? And what was your favorite Wallace quote?
And once again, we loved all the relationship moments. Veronica confronting Mac with her dilemma over the Bronson Parmesan versus the Maxucini, ordering Good Boy but wanting Bad boy? Hee! And then Mac saying Veronica kept going back for samples of Good Boy? Loved it. Our heart broke a bit as we watched Logan struggle with the idea of Veronica and Piz together – what is it about him that makes us love him despite our better instincts? We also got a bit pissed at the professor for shutting down Logan's "Rate My Ass" presentation, even though the whole idea is kind of loathsome. How does Jason Dohring do this to us?
So what did you think? Did the mystery missteps bother you? Is the dialogue and relationship drama enough to make a great episode, or do you need a compelling mystery plot as well? Does Vinnie Van Lowe have a chance running for sheriff against Keith? Are you warming up to Piz, or does Logan own you? And who's the better friend for girl talk – Wallace or Mac?

i love how verinoca told her dad she loved him so much but at the end it wasn't a very good ending because the dad got charges so boo ;(

i love this show it's the absolute best!!!!!!!!!! and as much as i like logan i love how hes bothered about the whole piz situation n i hope this continues for a while

Ok this thing with veronica and piz is really cool beacause hes a great guy hes good for vm and just admit it they look really good together but i will admit it is going way to fast i feel like ive missed and episode which could never have happened. but really people u like logan and vm i used to love logan but he is a jerk he says he loves veronica but he keeps hurting her and if u really love someone u wouldnt treat them like dirt like logan did and him and veronica never really had a real conversation basically it was fighting and sex but thats not enouh piz and veronica can connect really well they look cute together and piz puts her before him and they can have a conversation and wats up with wats happening next i have to watch this episode

Come on LoVe is what its all about, its partly what keeps alot of people going. Even though Logan is a bad ass he really does care and i love that he is so vulnerable when it comes to veronica. it just shows that even though people seem to be tuff they have feelings :P ...i think the piz situation has been rushed too much and there hasn't been much detail ..where as LoVe is all about the special moments.. e.g the dance..or how he always saves her

This last episode was okay, it's nice having Wallace back with his good ol' sarcastic humour. The one thing that pissed me off was Logan stressing over Piz and Veronica, I mean he moved on and got Parker; which was a huge mistake, so doesn't that mean Veronica Mars gets to move on too. Piz is just what V.M. needs, this make-up break-up deal is just getting annoying let Logan be jealous and let V.M. be happy.

I just bought the entire first season of Vernoica Mars. And never having seen the entire series from the beginning, this is becoming (I am half way through) such a phenominal experience! The writting and performances are just A+++ accross the board.
I will add though, that viewing it from episode one, and like I said, I'm about half way through, that anyone who was rooting for LoVe from the very beginning, most likely does not care about what it does to the character of Veronica Mars. I knew that Logan was a jerk (not saying it is good or bad, just that it is his character, and it is a big part of what makes him intensely compelling),but good grief! How can anyone say they wanted it from the very beginning? That notion is a lot easier to accept from perhaps where I originally entered into this series. But not if I had seen Logan Echols, the early years. But I have to give credit where credit is due (hey, wasn't that a name of one of the episodes?). Jason is such a fantastic and charismatic actor, that Logan is able to charm the wool over on a lot of the fans. Yes, Logan could sleep with you're Mother, Sister, and even you're Grandmother, and some fans would still say it was okay. They would probably say something like, "we weren't together at the time, so he wasn't really cheating. So there's nothing to forgive really". Veronica wearing blinders for a time, I can buy that. But the refusal of some fans to take them off, that is getting old. For me, if they still deperately want LoVe, but are at least willing to admit that Logan makes Veronica look bad, I can accept that. And in a funny way this kind of parralels Veronica's situation here. This is just my honest opinion.

No no no no. I'm LoVe all the way since the very beginning. And it effin' sux that she and Piz got together even though it won't last. But i've been dreading these last few episodes.
Veronica seems such a bitch this season. People think that Logan is making her look bad. And it's probably true. However, I don't think that all the blame should be on Logan.
I mean there is a reason why the season finale episode is called 'The Bitch Is Back'. Bitch-referring to Veronica (some insite news from RT)

I like logan first,but piz since he showed up at Season3.i'm happy he gets together with V.He is so quiet ,honesty and cute.I like him when he smiles at intervals.I hope he is always the cute guy in the show!

I love LOVE. I want them to be together and I will be so sad if they don't end up together. Piz is such a dork! Did anyone see him on the Grey's Anatomy spin off? I have no idea what was so appealing about him - maybe from the neck down he was okay but not from the neck up! For those of you who love Pizonica, he won't be around next season! Thank goodness!!!! LOVE forever!

I know Logan & Veronica have Chemistry. I noticed that when I would occassionally watch earlier episodes. But nothing changes the fact that storywise, Logan makes Veronica look bad. Logan is Lovable, but unfornately, he's a Jack Ass (though it's part of what makes him a compelling, if tragic, character....and Jason is amazing in his portrayal). The first scene that I ever caught of VM, involved Logan on the ledge of a bridge, and I knew right off the bat, he would be something special for the show. But to end it with Logan & Veronica, especially with the kind of person that Logan is, well, that wouldn't seem right. And I was thinking about this long before Piz ever came into the picture...so that originally had nothing to do with my view on this.
I don't know what will happen in the end, but I definitely want it to be Pizonica! Why? Because.....Piznarski, You're A GOOD GUY....and GOOD GUYS....don't always finish last!

I HATE that Veronica is dating Piz. I've been rooting for Veronica and Logan for all three seasons and if the show ends with Piz getting his happy ever after, a boring, new character that has served as nothing but a plot device so far, I will be PISSED.
Either V is single or she gets back with Logan. That's the only acceptable avenue.

I love that Veronica and Piz are getting together. I think this is just what Veronica needs after Logan. I just think Logan needs to back off with the questions and leave them alone since he's with Parker now. I know Veronica and Logan had something deep but they broke up. I hope he doesn't try to do anything to break them up.

I rather enjoyed the episode. I think it is funny the reactions people are having to the burgeoning romance of Veronica and Piz when everyone knows of a little thing called the rebound guy. Piz is super cute and can banter with the lot of them but in the end he is a band aid to keep from picking the scab that is Veronica and Logan. Sure, she gave Logan the go ahead to ask out Parker and looks all halfway supportive but its Veronica. I mean she is supposed to be woman hear her roar, and as Logan has said himself she 'doesnt need anyone',she wouldn't let anyone see that she had not moved on when Logan clearly has. Piz is uncomplicated and not pushy and from the conversations with Wallace you can see that is the approach she needs. She is like a wounded animal I guess.
Leo is looking mighty fine these days, I must say that.

Well, maybe I'm just cold-hearted then, because I thought the hand-holding was lame and twee. Piz and Veronica are so BORING together! If I'd wanted cutesy, I'd be watching a different show. Plus, the bad boy/good guy anvils are getting incredibly irritating. Veronica's not a good girl! She's gonna crush Piz, and I can't wait b/c it has to be more interesting than their ohmigodpuppycakes! relationship as it's been portrayed so far.

i love seeing logan getting bothered by piz/veronica. but i think veronica/leo would really piss him off. logan would be see leo more as competition than piz. i say do the leo thing.

Wasn't there a time where Veronica was interested in Leo? If so bringing him back to the department does make you wonder where that will go. Anyhow I thought the episode was ok, not wonderful not terrible. I didn't exactly like the plot but I thought Paul Rudd was a fun character.
Piz has done well in his role on the show and the way he just let the issue with Veronica roll off of him was great. He handled that situation far better than most guys would. Anyhow if there is a season 4 it's to bad Piz won't be in it. He is becomong a better character as time passes. However, I know most of you love Logan even though his character has not changed for three seasons now and he is just as irresponsible as he was before. But I don't want to upset the LoVe choir. I just don't see what they are doing with Logan anymore.

Yes, I agree what a waste for the fire coverage to be on for 3 hours or longer. I understand it is bad and a lot of damage...but how much can you talk about that it is burning. Are we to watch every drop being dropped to put out the fire? Sure, 10 minutes or so but not hour after hour and then again during the news hour....Thank goodness you are showing it on Saturday the 12th. I need to see the last 2 episodes of GG. I lived in a single mother - daughter home my whole life so I relate to a lot of their situations. LOVE the show and I will miss it. Thank goodness for reruns and DVDs.

Yeah, right off the bat, that little Plot hole (name tag in the bag) thing bugged me a little, but last night's installment was the kind of Marvelous episode, that me personally, the hole was easily forgivable.
I enjoyed all the cast interactions. All of the characters kept me interested, and the Piz/Veronica scenes were just stellar. That scene with the hand holding just had to melt the coldest of hearts. It was just too damn cute. Yeah, PIZ & VERONICA have something special.....they just don't know how special....yet.
