so i was completely looking forward to this show, only to turn it on and not recognize it one bit. What happened to Blairs straight brown hair.. ive only seen it curly. And serena is what...50?? Jeeez. Dan is so good looking..in the book def pictured him as more of this emo looking kid. JENNY...WOW..they sure blew that one.. hmm blonde hair flat chest..yeah that looks alot like the CURLY BROWN HAIRED HUMONGO CHESTED girl shes supposed to be.
Im dissapointed i must say.

ok, first of all.. GOSSIP GIRL IS MY FAVORITE SHOW EVERRRRRRR. it kindof reminds me of my life, all the drama. i love it so much. its better then the OC people! who cares if they arnt the same people in the book? aw, no one. like serioulsy, i love ALL the characters. i really hope the show continues & doesnt end with 11 eppisodes, i'd be so bummed. me & friends talk about the show NONstop were all so obsessed. anyways, much love :)

I agree with the fact that the cast doesn't really look much like the characters described in the book. I'll admit I was kinda disappointed but I don't think that Serena or Nate are ugly.. And Dan definately would not have been better as Nate.
But what did you expect? Obviously they would change the things up a bit. If they didn't change the plot, it would be so predictable to those that read Gossip Girl.
Overall I prefer the books but I still lilke the show.
And if you hate it so much STOP watching it.

Yeah, I really hate the casting that they've done for this series.
My biggest problem is that Serena isnt as much of a 'show stopper' that they make her out to be in the book. Serena should be breathtaking since she's supposed to be the most beautiful person in all of NYC.
Jenny is possibly even WORSE. Straight blonde hair and a flat chest... but personally, I think that jenny is much better looking than serena. Serena looks like she's a young 30... NOT a senior in high school.
Dan is way to cute to be dan. I pictured him as a little more of a emoish poet. Not your average cute guy. No.
Nate is just gross. He needs to take a good inch or two off his hair and he would be great.
I think they did a pretty decent job with Chuck Bass though. I think he could be a little more handsome though...

what the hell is up with this show? ahha i thought it was really good last night but they changed alot. what's up with Serena's brother? he looks like he's 15 and he was like checking out Jenny... and what about Lilly and Rufus that was so wierd. I think serena and blair are perfect but Nate is definetly not how i pictured him...

so isnt rufus supposed to look like a hippy and be overweight...instead they made him a fit, goodlooking guy...and whats up with serena's brother?...i thought he was older and a "guy version" of serena...he looks like freakin aaron carter ...blehhh

WHAT THE HELL???? Jenny is the excact oppisite as the books, straight blond hair insted of culry brown and shes FLAT! Serena is perfect and blair should have been Megan Fox. Rufus if suppose to be ancient!!! Nate is not hot. And dan!! Hes suppose to have shaggy hair and be really skinny. Maybe the people who chose the actors should have read the books first?

I'm glad Vanessa won't be in it. She gets on my nerves. Jenny wasn't right but w/e. Blair is really good. serena's pretty good. Nate's not that great.

i am pretty disappointed. blake lively is the PERFECT girl for the part;; but nate is supposed to be like..the hottest guy ever right? not hot at all. his picture actually scares me. and jenny? who are we kidding! thats not jenny! so i think they did a crappy job overall. well, actually, if you watch the video clips nate does look hot..its the slicked back hair that makes it look terrible. so yeah. nate and serena are ok.

Blake is the best pick for Serena and I totally how I pictured her.
Matthew looks to... clean-cut to play Rufus.
Chase looks like I pictured Nate.
Penn is sort of how I pictured Dan.
I pictured Chuck to be kind of ugly, so I think that Ed is way too good for the part, yet just right at the same time.

i think they picked the right people to play the parts and y'all need to stop picking on them(casting people)and i can't wait until the show comes on blake lively is an amazing actress and she is also my favorite

I agree that the actor they picked for Nate is not nearly as hot as he should be. Also, Jenny doesn't fit the description in the books at all; but, I think the actors for Dan and Serena fit the part.

first of all, jenny should have huge boobs and brown curly hair, in every book that is mentioned at least like 4 times. nate should have really green eyes, but other than that he's good. rufus should be old and ugly and odd looking. dan shouldnt be quite as cute and at the beginning of the season his hair should be long. serena should be drop dead gorgeous. but shes pretty good. and chuck should be hotter because he is supposed to have had sex with like every girl.

You know, I'm really wishing that the CW would reevaluate their target demograph and actually bring on something more conducive to the interest of the mature viewer (by "mature," I mean age 30 and up). This show is just another soap opera targeted for the younger audience. This does not lend a whole lot of credence to the CW as a network that wants to play with - and join the ranks of - the "Big Guys." I'm with juls; sorry...not interested.

I dont like some of the charectors. If I would have known they were making a TV series about the AH-mazing book Gossip Girl I would have aditioned for the part of Jenny. The charector doesnt look how she sounds in the book. She is a size "DD" in the book... she is like an "A" in the TV. Also, not to pick on the WOMAN who plays Jenny but she is supost to be 14... not 18. Other way they look good.

i think the parents should have been more older and elegant looking. also, rufus is totally off as well as jenny. im curious, where's vanessa?
