Beauty and the Geek: Close Friends Divided
Beauties and geeks alike shed buckets of tears last night on an emotional Beauty and the Geek. Sam and Nicole continued their winning streak, but the power couple didn't endear themselves to anyone in the house when they pitted Jesse and Erin against their good friends John and Natalie in the elimination room. What do you think -- was it stooping too low on Sam and Nicole's part to force friends to compete against each other? It was sad to see Jesse and Erin go, especially when they really seem to be getting a lot out of the experience.
On the other end of the getting-a-lot-out-of-this spectrum, William and Jenn continued to openly despise each other. It's hard to like either of them; William can seem so condescending, rolling his eyes at Jenn and cutting her off, but she's not exactly lovable and open herself. The previews showed this prickly pair reaching their boiling point on the Mexico trip next week. Frankly, we'd like to see them go next. Yeah, they add drama, but they're not learning from each other, and it's kind of unpleasant to watch.
Meanwhile, it was nice to see Dave and Jasmine step it up after being called out for not doing so well. Jasmine telegraphed adorableness as Princess Bedhead at the comic competition, and the role actually played to her strengths: baby talk and coy "Who, me?" theatrics. The pair looked proud when they won runner-up, but as usual, everyone lost to the seemingly unstoppable Sam (Metro Man) and Nicole.
