Isaac Mizrahi's 'Collection' Comes to The CW

Isaac MizrahiLooks like the success of America's Next Top Model has The CW in a fashion state of mind! They've signed on designer Isaac Mizrahi to co-executive produce an hour-long drama, The Collection.

We were initially surprised to see it wasn't a Project Runway/What Not to Wear-type show. But a drama sounds equally intriguing -- besides, it's not like the network has a shortage of reality TV.

Executive producer/writer Elisa Bell said she'd use the fashion world as a backdrop to address issues such as "racism, giant egos, fragile relationships, drugs, conflict of ethics and sexuality." Wow. And here we were thinking it'd be all makeovers and minis.

We like the sound of this, but everything's still pretty vague. Will Collection be a soapy delight, or will it collapse under the weight of all those heavy themes? We'll have to give it a chance before we decide.

What do you guys think? Will you check this one out?
