Reaper Gets Slimed
This week's Reaper was all about slime, both literal and metaphorical. Sam's demon of the week is a slime monster, while his dad is acting suspiciously slimy himself. And he's worried that Andi's falling for a slimy guy -- one who the Devil says is dating two slutty twins. Yikes!
First up, the monster. He's the soul of someone who dumped toxic waste before he died. Now his son is running for office, and the slime soul is killing people who are trying to sue him for the pollution. Sam's vessel? A particularly hideous Christmas sweater. We do love the Devil's sense of style. The sweater is exceedingly absorbent, but we think the Devil just chose that because it makes Sam look like an idiot. And we respect that.
Second: Andi. Sam keeps standing her up, and Andi's getting tired of it. Greg, the guy she met at the monkey seminar, is there to distract her, and Sam is stricken. Satan shows Sam a picture of Greg and twin babes, but Sam resolves to take the high road and not mention it. That falls apart when Josie reveals she's meeting Andi and Greg for a double date. But oops -- the twins in the picture are his sisters. Andi is disgusted and tells Sam to butt out of her life. We can't say we're surprised -- it was the Devil who was the source of his information. Did he really think that was on the up and up?
Third, Sam's dad is acting particularly suspicious when he finds out Sam got his hands on the contract. He asks Sam to set up a meeting with the Devil, but Satan seems disgusted by the thought of even talking to him. That can't be good. Sam finally lets Dad take a look at his contract -- and we see Dad tearing out and burning pages. That can't be good.
Finally, we found out that Sam isn't the only one in danger from the deal with the Devil: Everyone who knows about it will come to some bad end. That can't be good for Sock and Ben -- poor guys. They never should have had anything to do with this!
What did you think? What is Sam's dad hiding? Is there any way for Sock and Ben to get out of this unscathed? Should Sam tell Andi, no matter what the Devil says? And couldn't they have gotten slightly better CGI for the slime monster? Oy! Vote in our polls and leave your thoughts in the comments!
