One Tree Hill: What Do You Go Home To?
The adoption agency is giving Brooke a baby after all -- but it’s a special case, a foster care thing. Amidst all of the initial joy, we wonder if she's setting herself up for some potential pain. After all, she’s taking in a baby from another country and the kid needs major surgery. The baby will come and stay with Brooke, have an operation and then go home to her parents -- eaving one sad Brooke Davis behind.
No matter what happens later, we're just happy to see Brooke this happy over the exciting new development. And how cute was that scene where Haley and Peyton reminded her that she needed to buy stuff like food and a crib besides a room full of stuffed animals! We're looking forward to seeing Brooke get parenting tips from Haley and Nathan -- but we think she's going to be just fine once she gets over her fears.
The first casualty of the baby boom is Owen -- he fears babies and losing his independence. So he’s history. He’s strong enough to kick booze and drugs but he can’t handle a few wet diapers? Maybe it's not such a big loss. It was nice to see Chase again for a few minutes, but we wouldn't have minded one more glimpse of Owen onscreen!
What we loved
We loved seeing Skills and Mouth again!
We loved that Haley’s music comeback seems like it will come easily. Peyton will sign her to her label and if Mia can sell 40,000 copies of her album, Haley certainly can, too. We know the girl's got talent. Are you excited to see Haley return to music?
Unfortunately, it looks like all comebacks aren’t going to be so sweet. Nathan tries working out with Q, but he’s run out of the gym by the smack-talking, fast-dunking kid. It was kind of hard to watch Nathan give up so easily.
And speaking of giving up -- rather than hire another nanny just yet, Haley asks Nanny Deb to come and stay awhile. Yay! We loved seeing Deb back in Tree Hill, but the Scotts will have to hire another nanny eventually.
What we didn’t love
We waited all this time… for what? Lucas and Peyton finally discussed Lindsey and it was totally phony -- at least it was on Peyton’s part. She wakes up thinking about Lucas every day and she can’t manage to tell him how she really feels? Guess it would be a little difficult between all of the gushing he was doing about Lindsey. But Peyton can’t really hope that Lucas and Lindsey will work it out.
Meanwhile, a TV station in Omaha wants to give Mouth a full-time on-air position, but he passes in order to stay in Tree Hill and be with Millie. We’re not so happy that Mouth passed on an excellent career opportunity, but we are really pleased that he wants to shack up with Millicent! They're so cute together. And who would have figured that Brooke hired herself an assistant who is also a full-fledged “Clean Teen?”
Tell us what you loved and hated about the episode!

Okay so I usually always agree with you girls but this podcast definetly seemed like it was a "Lets bash brooke " thing .I mean I get you might not like the storyline or whatever but is there really cause to bash the character as much? I honestly dont understand why the storyline bothers people , I dont believe she doesnt know what shes getting into as she does and as I have watched her character through the seasons I can understand why she would have made this decision and as the storyline progresses I think were gonna see even more growth in the character of brooke ,it takes a special type of person to even think of doing something like that and the fact she is says just how amazing the character is and I think the scene where shes on the phone to peyton/haley was funny its typical brooke lol she didnt mean it in a bad way its just the way the character is sometimes and was a funny moment .
I wanted to ask about the brucas scene ,why was it said not to mention them? Have you all become lpers or something?lol . Theres a lot of blers who listen to your podcast and have always thought a lot of what you said as you always seem to be fair when it comes to bl not like others… so wow that was completely a turnabout today and rather sad.I love brucas and the Bl fans always will and its kinda sad how you don’t want to talk about them,I don’t know if it was just as ajoke but as I say that was disapointing ,plus the Bl scene was amazing this episode loved the way he looks at her plus the fact hes always there for her no matter what ,both of them always are plus the fact he remembered something from her past which most guys wouldn’t says so much ,absolutly loved that scene it was filled with BL cuteness . And the line where he says “she will love the girl who gives her it “ about the purple monkey was total foreshadowing if you read spoilers about the finale ;)
As for owen well I have always thought he wasn’t good enough for her anyways and at times can be rather patronising nd comes across as thinking hes better than her and no matter what he could have at least came and talked to her about it face to face but instead he didn’t he just left ,Im not even a chase fan or A chase/brooke shipper but the fact chase came makes him slightly better than owen in my eyes as chase actually showed he at least cared, where owen what did he do ? Left town . I don’t want him to come back ,brooke deserves better than that and I mean even if he was scared of a parental role being forced upon him or whatever she never once asked him for anything nor did she presume that he would go along with it.And plus he said she was selfish FYI how is she selfish for giving a very sick child help and ultimatly helping her get better , that seriously annoyed me that he said that.
So yeah it was a good podcast I was just disapointed by a lot of the content in it as I say as usually Im always like “amazing pod cast as always”but this time well it just seemed very anti but anyways… till next time hopefully next times podcast will be better .

Monday's episode was great. The pace seemed to pick up compared to last week's.
Brooke and Chase's scene definitely called for an "aww" moment, especially when he asked her if she needed anything (including a husband). They really work well together. Let's hope this isn't the last we see of him.
Haley and Nathan are slowly coming around and I'm excited to see that. Throw Jamie into the mix and they are an adorable, loving family. Glad to see that Deb is back. I hope we are filled in on what she has been up to these past four years.
Haley and Peyton working together again is a definite plus. It would be nice to hear and see Haley sing at Tric. I believe that Nathan will regain his confidence and basketball skills all in due time.
Skills could have been more firm and authoritative with Q. His comment was completely uncalled for. Q obviously has a lack of respect for adults and he needs an attitude adjustment, regardless of the fact that he’s upset or hurting.
It’s quite obvious that Lucas and Peyton are not addressing the relationship issues they have. I still sense that Lucas is in denial about his love for Peyton. He still may be hurt by the fact that she said no to his proposal and he doesn’t want to take that chance again. As for Brooke and Lucas’ past, they did work well together on a different level. However, it was blatantly clear in the first few episodes of season one that Lucas and Peyton have a certain “connection”.
Next week’s episode looks interesting. Can’t wait to watch the birthday celebration!

What I liked:
-The first scene of the show
- Haley and Peyton working together on music as friends.
-The Scotts spending the day together trying to fix up the basketball team.
-Nathan and Haley interviewing nannies. (That was also funny.)
-The return of Deb.
-Chase and Brookes conversation. ( They are so cute)
-Brooke and Lucas conversation.
-The music in the episode .
-Millie and Mouth as always.
-Peyton putting on a brave face.
-Brooke getting a baby.
What I didn’t like was:
-Quentin being a jerk to Skills and Nathan. ( I’ve never gotten a chance to even like him)
-Lucas and Peyton faking everything is okay when it’s not.
-Dan becoming soft. ( He may not be evil anymore but he should act confident that things will improve)

Interesting how Leytoner suddenly think OTH sucked. I personally loved this episode, but I'm a Brucaser.
I would like to remind Leyton fans of the sudden epiphany Lucas had that he was in love with Petyon (episode 4x09)... ya the one that came out of NOWHERE and shocked us Brucasers... ya the one you said made total sense.
Well now you know how we feel. Except 1 thing... Lucas didn't SUDDENLY realize he was in love with Lindsey! We just never saw their romance build!
1. So you can't say that it's out of nowhere.
2. Even if it WAS out of nowhere, Leytoners are the LAST people who should talk about that (see episode 4x09)
In other news, Brooke and Lucas and the purple monkey were PERFECT!

I'm glad that Pucas fans finally get to see how Brucasers feel. He was supposed to be completely in love with Brooke and then all of a sudden Peyton comes into the picture midway through season 4. It's sorta the same case here EXCEPT he NEVER actually admitted to still being in love with Peyton, everyone else was doing the talking for him. So really, this development about him really being in love with Lindsey shouldn't be shocking because that's what he's been saying all along. It's just Mark and some others who seem to think otherwise.

Haley singing again is great. Joy has the best voice I've ever heard. And her's was the best storyline of the night by far.
I could care less about Brooke getting a baby. The only reason she's getting one is so she'd stop stealing Jamie's screentime from Nathan and Haley.

I am really disliking Lindsey and Lucas's attitude towards her, wtf! he was supposed to be tottaly in love with Peyton, now that he knows she loves him back he is in love with someone else, I believe he likes being alone, or chasing the girl he can't have. I want some Lucas and Peyton time, the show is getting a little annoying and depressing, without them!

it was an ok episode for me! i really enjoyed seeing naley together more!! wth is up with leyton, they hav no scenes together!! they hav to get bak together.
nathan+haley and peyton+lucas=perfection!!!

Peyton is trying to be supportive of Lucas. I liked her last night, even with Lucas going on about Lindsey to her face, she showed class. Lucas, on the other hand, already knows Peyton's still in love with him and yet he still has to rub this in her face (what a jerk IMO). She also steered clear of him at TRIC - nice move.
FINALLY, Haley and Peyton friendly interaction - I Love them! - and it looks like I'll be seeing a lot more of them doing Haley's record, I've missed Hilarie and Joy scenes soooo much!
Brooke fostering the baby is sweet - and I don't think it's unrealistic.
I hated to see Owen out of the picture, but, Chase was a nice substitute. I don't know which I like better for Brooke though. Owen seemed to be the most mature, good guy in TH since Keith.
The Nathan/Haley nanny interviews were funny.
Millicent and Mouth were cute.
Q was back to being an idiot - I hate to see anyone be mean to Skills! and Nathan will eventually kick his behind in basketball!
Bottom line - Loved Peyton, Haley and Brooke.
Liked Nathan and Jamie a lot.
Could've done without Lucas and Q altogether.
I already hate the LLi previews for next week - please say this is the final torture!!! That relationship is groanworthy.

The show was good but what's up with Lucas & Peyton? i want to see them work things out and Lindsay out of the picture. Their relationship is an epic love story. How can u not be behind them getting back together
Posted by: Star | April 22, 2008 1:51 PM
ok so wtf was with the whole lindsay/lucas/peyton relationship??
its leyton all the way for me, hands down...
brooke deserves this baby and shes gonna be an awesome 'part-time' mom even though i do think shes gonna be heart-broken when she has to send the baby home...
millie/mouth relationship is sooooo cute...they deserve each other.
haley has an awesome voice and i cant wait for her to record her album, but i think she and nathan should talk more about the nanny situation.both should be more trusting.
Q was acting like a jerk this episode but hes hurting so its understandable but hes gonna lose all his friends(...and fans) if he keeps acting like that.
overall awesome episode...loved watching it.

before everyone gets upset about owen, this is what the guy how plays him posted on his myspace page:
ATTENTION ALL "BROWEN" FANS
I just wanted to take a moment and first of all say THANK YOU!!! from the bottom of my heart for the avalanche of support from all of the OTH fans all over the world! I am truly humbled and excited every day by all of your kind words. I have worked on some HUGE projects in my career and THERE ARE NO FANS ON THE PLANET BETTER THAN ONE TREE HILL FANS!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!! I absolutely cannot say that enough! As you all may or may not know by now, my last episode of OTH was 5.11 that aired on May 11th. It wasn’t intended to be my last, in fact I was asked to shoot 5.14 but couldn’t due to scheduling conflicts for BEHIND ENEMY LINES 3, which I am shooting presently in Puerto Rico. There has been such an outpouring of support for me and my character "Owen" that I wanted to make sure that everyone knew where to voice their support. I would love nothing more than to keep shooting ONE TREE HILL the second I am done with my movie here and on into season 6. So... if you want to see more "Browen" then please write to Vanessa at: jmanganielloonline@gmail.com Vanessa will be attending James Lafferty’s charity basketball game in a few weeks and plans to give Mark a scrapbook full of all of the responses she gets. So let your voice be heard and... GO BROWEN!!!

Does any one have info on the demo song Peyton was listening to before Haley said she wanted to record again. It was like a R & B or hip hop rap song.

Great episode! I was so disappointed with Lucas & Peyton! :( I hope to see some love between them next week.
Brooke having a baby is a good thing even though she has to give her back. No more Owen?? That's awful. I really liked seeing Chase one more time. They should get back together.
I'm so glad that Haley is singing again! I love her voice! Nathan needs to man up and tell Q off.
The previews looked quite sickening. Lindsey coming back to town and Lucas was trying to get her back. If he does, I think I'll have to stop watching the show because that relationship makes me cringe!
