I hope that BDABR gets a sourcie sometime soon. It was a great episode, and I'm not just saying that because I am a Sam fan, but because it is a greatly done.
I have to disagree with alex's post, "... Dean dying is/was supposed to be a dramatic theme for the season and they trivialized it in that episode..." I love it that they brought in Mystery Spot. It showed how Sam could become once Dean died, and if Dean didn't die, how he would. They also made a very serious topic for the season funny to lighten up the constant deaths and darkness of the show.

YESSS!! Supernatural deserved to win--their show is hilarious without trying too hard to be!! And for the record, I am a OTH and Supernatural fan and I can easily say that OTH was not funny at all; I think OTH fans are just trying to get OTH to win all the categories...but anyways in the end SUPERNATURAL WON!! WOOHOO!

By far Supernatral was the funniest. OTH was the least funny, Angie laugh for a second and then started crying even longer, how did so many people vote for that! It was not that funny, chris mom stuffing his face in the mash potatoe was funier than OTH, PS I am an OTH fan.

Finally!! I absolutely LOVE Mystery Spot and I am very, very glad that it was recognized for it's hilarity and amazing acting. And, yes, I am a Sam Fan and yes, I am glad that Sam was also recognized. Hope Supernatural wins!! Vote, people, vote!!!

I think we need to remember this is a voting contest not a Spelling Bee.
Since the Winchesters have made me laugh at loud on numerous occasions they get my vote ...
Then again they always have my vote and I do watch OTH but I love SN!!!!!

If you're going to comment on Dean's many deaths in Mystery Spot at least spell the word right. Dean is not dieing, nor is he dyeing, as I don't think he wants to change colors. He is dying. Spelling, people!!!

MS is a very good choice as best slapstick from SP :). Jensens comedic timing is brilliant :)

However his "I`m batman" line was my favourite moment of BDABR. :) I voted for SP. Go Winchester boys :)

I would have preferred that they put Bad Day instead of Mystery Spot. Especailly since Sam didn't imagine Dean dying like that. But, had to vote for the Winchester boys! They have hilarious moments. Go Supernatural!

I don't get how you guys aren't laughing at the OTH one. I laughed harder at that one then any other. I just don't find humor in someone dreaming how bad life is or someone dieing. the Reaper one was kinda funny but still REALLY stupid. Peyton giving Brooke a mean look for throwing the animals at her was so funny. And who Peyton was like Seriously Brooke?

I think it's pretty lame that the funniest piece of comedy is in last place, and one of the dumbest is in second. Stuffed animals and a woman who sounds like she has emphysema, really? The Everybody Hates Chris moments is only one of many bouts of hilarity on the show--and I'm a SPN fan. I also particularly enjoyed the moving with your mind by Reaper, hee.

Ew at all the Sam fans vs. Dean fans in these comments! And the people who are complaining that everything has to be about Sam... you guys are the ones that are fueling the fire. One person said they couldn't vote for Dean dying as funny and then after that you interpreted that as saying they wouldn't vote just because the clip wasn't about Sam. Huh?! Weird, guys. Just enjoy the lovely Supernatural clip!

I voted SPN because most of Dean's deaths were hilarious if I don't think about how much turmoil they caused Sam. :)

Bad Day at Black Rock... but, yeah ok, Mystery Spot.

I love Supernatural, and Mystery Spot with its death scenes was an awesome and incredibly funny episode! So was Bad Day at Black Rock! Both episodes have poll winning slapstick humor. ;)

I laughed at the Reaper scene when I first watched it on TV and although it's #2 it isn't nearly as funny as the clips from Supernatural.

So I guess you all know where my vote went...

As much as I thought Dean's numerous deaths in Mystery Spot were funny I thought Bad Day at Black Rock was wayyy funnier. From the scene where they first encounter the guys who have the rabbit's foot and all the way through I was laughing my ass off. True slapstick humor right there for BOTH Sam and Dean.

i didn't find the one tree hill scene very slapstick or funny. it was cute but the other ones made me laugh out loud.

I am confused... no Sam fans were saying they weren't going to vote because Dean was int he clips? I don't think that was brought up at all! And in the last one, Sam fans still voted? Why are we attacking each other over silly things? Let's ban together and win this thing!

I think picking Bad Day at Black Rock (BDaBR) for slapstick would have been a no Brainer. The first part when the bad guys have the foot and the guns are flipping, the guys are falling, Dean gets bopped by the gun as well as the scene at the end when Dean flips the pen and says "I'm Batman"... those are hilarious and perfect slapstick. Dean dying (for real not imagined) is not slapstick, although it was comedic. I totally understand why some fans wouldn't call Mystery Spot (MS) funny because I was a panicky, sobbing mess my first time through... but BDaBR over MS isn't a Sam vs Dean thing, it is a funny vs slapstick thing. The EHC scene was funny, but still gotta go with SPN even though I still don't think those scenes are true slapstick.

Voted for SPN. I liked very much Mystery Spot and it was funny to see how Dean dies ( especially his comment about the car accident...it was like in the movies?). But at the end it becomes a really sad episode.
I liked better BDAHR but Mystery Spot is funny too. So Go Winchester Team:)

No you aren't a Deanfan, alex. Everyone knows you are a Sam fan, leaving off part of the name you usually use doesn't hide the fact. You also whined about how Sam wasn't in the suit clip and how you wouldn't vote for it because Sam wasn't in it.

Sam is in this clip, plenty. Sam's funny in this clip. Dean's funny in this clip. But that's not good enough for you, because there's too much Dean again right?

They chose a clip, I'm sure fans of these other shows might have clips they would have preferred to be chosen. That's the nature of contests like this, they don't always choose the clip you would have chosen. But you don't see OTH fans saying "I am not going to vote for that clip because I think this other clip would have been funnier" do you? Samfans are ridiculous.

The only difference between the slapstick humor in MS and BDABR is that MS was based on dying over and over again in more outrageous and ridiculous ways and BDABR was based around falling down, getting caught up without actually dying. Both of them had a dark undertone to them. Sam's life was in danger on BDABR. But that's real difference, the Sam fans feel that Sam was the focus of the slapstick in BDABR so of course it was the better choice. Not that it really matters, what matters is Supernatural winning.

I thought BDABR was much funnier than MS, since it's the slapstick style and all... hmmm.......it's either Reaper or Spn of cuz. OTH is not really that funny is it?? for that particulat scene i mean..

I have to say, my initial reaction to Mystery Spot wasn't humor, though. Sam's reaction (well, mostly) was far too serious. It was the third time rewatching the episode that I notice the sheer brilliance of the humor. xD
The scene with the axe was the best one ever. ♥

I loved both Mystery Spot & BDABR, the guys did the comedy in both brilliantly. But I can see why you picked Mystery Spot for this. Good choice. GO SUPERNATURAL!!

I gotta say, after watching all of them I didn't find either OTH nor Reaper funny at all, I laughed at EHC, and I laughed at SN. I'd go with the SN deaths because they were the funniest.

Heh. We need a SPN/OTH throwdown on it's own or no one else is even gonna get a shot.

Mystery Spot was one of my favorite eps from this past season ... and IMHO I think that there was a lot more "funny" in it than any of the other nominations in the category .. so obviously that is where my vote went.

(But I loved BDABR also and I would've chosen BDABR over MS as Supernatural's ep for "pure slapstick-style" humor ...)

Once again, we may have the basis needed for a recount challenge! Whereas Supernatural managed to put a funny twist on the many ways of killing Dean, a better episode choice for true humor and slapstick would have been Bad Day at Black Rock... with Sam's "I lost my shoe" and Dean's "I'm Batman" lines, it would have been a clear landslide victory! So here we go again... SN vs. OTH, round 2...

Excellent choice on Mystery Spot.

Some of the ways Dean died were hysterical and the way Jensen and Jared played all those scenes showed off their chemistry and comic timing to a T.

Oh come on. Those scenes in Mystery Spot were meant to be funny, they were slapstick. Holy cow, you Sam fans really do want everything to be all about Sam don't you? I never saw Dean fans not voting for a SUPERNATURAL choice because it included both brothers when it was against other competition. We may choose Dean over Sam, one on one, but it's always the brothers over everyone else, either singly or together.

And Jackie, you all shouldn't apologize or have to explain your choices.

Huh? You have a slapstick category and you don't pick BDABR for SPN? Them fumbling around and falling on their butts at the beginning. Sam knocking himself out. Losing his shoe. Dean throwing a pen into the barrel of a gun. Come on, people! That should have been a no brainer!

While I laughed my socks off at Dean dyeing all those times, i wouldn't call it "slapstick" comedy. And Sam didn't "imagine" Dean dyeing! Dean did die, over and over and over and over and over...

I think you made a good choice in picking Mystery Spot for the slapstick humor. While both episodes were good at showing the comedic talents of both actors, the first half of Mystery Spot was hilarious. It really can't be denied.

Sam's numerous mishaps in Bad Day at Black Rock would have been a better choice from Supernatural.
