90210 Recap: Life's a Drag
Wowee, last night's episode of 90210 was packed with action and full of crazy! While we'd love to make this all about Naomi and Liam (because, HELLO, sexy times) this was really all about Silver. Of course, as per usual, we have to start from the beginning.

All we can say is, thank goodness for Naomi and her dream sequence. The most heat we've seen since the show's inception came from Mr. Sandman as Naomi has a dream about Liam having his way with her mouth in the school's hallway. We were a bit disappointed when the alarm went off, although probably not as disappointed as she was.
The only sex that is happening at school (that we know of) is between Dixon and Silver, the latter of whom seems to be wanting it everywhere at all times. It's like there's no room for a happy medium with Erin, she's either totally against sappiness or so wrapped up in it she can't see anything else. Dixon has gone along for the ride (no pun intended) but it's obvious that he's taken aback by his lady's sudden surge of happiness and lack of discretion. I mean, they did it in the multimedia room!Meanwhile, Annie and Ethan are growing apart and she apologizes profusely while he seems to just ignore her. This relationship was over before it ever really started, but Annie isn't willing to just let it go.
When school starts, Naomi gets to see Liam and think about the ways in which she can make her dream come true. When it seems as though he might need a tutor, she volunteers herself as the right person for the job and tells him to meet her after school for a session.
Hot teacher Ryan has a poetry assignment for his English class and since the multimedia room gave Silver some, uhh, inspiration, she decides to make a film about love. She finds Dixon at the Peach Pit to tell him the good news and convinces him to take a break for an afternoon delight in the storage closet. Remind us to never eat there.
In an attempt to salvage her relationship, Annie tells her parents she is quitting the school play to spend more time with Ethan. Debbie and Harry are rightfully upset about this since Annie is just in high school and acting is something she is passionate about. This also conjures up some bad feelings for Debbie because she feels as though she has given up photography for the family to move to California. While we feel bad for Debbie, this kind of came out of nowhere. Let's see, you're in L.A. and came from Kansas. Isn't there more opportunity to land a photography gig where they're at now? We digress.
After school, Naomi meets Liam out by his car and he is cold to her. We're still a bit unsure as to why he's so upset with her, but the broody thing does agree with him. Turns out, Liam is incredibly smart and could easily be Naomi's tutor. He's just not down with acting smart in class -- he's got better things to do, like drag race. Naomi is more than willing to drive out to the middle of nowhere to see what makes him tick. The two race another car while Naomi screams at Liam to "Drive faster! Go! Go! Go!" and Liam wins the race. A short while later, Naomi gets hit on by a fellow racer and Liam goes a little nutso on the guy's car. It was a bit of overkill, but at least Naomi must've known he was interested. When Liam drops her off at school later, she finally gets the steamy kiss she wanted from him and all is right with the world. Well, maybe not the whole world, but Naomi's world.
Ethan tries to talk to Rhonda but she tells him they can't be friends and is upset with him because he's obviously hiding his attraction to her. After Adrianna tells Annie how Navid saw Ethan and Rhonda kiss at the Valentine's dance, Annie blows up at Rhonda. Rhonda actually plays it cool and takes the mature approach by telling Annie to chill out and talk to Ethan about the whole thing, since Ethan told Rhonda he couldn't kiss her or be with her because he was with Annie. So, Annie does what most teenagers do and leaves him an angry message and then flirts with other boys. Later, Ethan finds Annie cuddled up next to a theater boy and the two argue about who brought down the relationship. Since Annie's voice makes us want to poke our ears out with skewers, our vote is for her. She still wants to make things work and Ethan just wants to be alone.
Silver's big directorial debut is about to start and she asks Mr. Matthews to say a few words to introduce it. She and Dixon take their seats; the lights go down and it starts off beautifully. Unfortunately, it quickly turns porntastic and Dixon finds out Silver has made a sex tape of them in the storage closet and is now showing it on the big screen for their entire school to see. The Mr. Matthews quickly turns off the movie and Dixon rushes out of the theater. Silver tries to talk to him and can't understand why he's so mad but Dixon tells her to get to steppin'.
Back at the Wilson home, Harry has tried to do something nice for Debbie but it falls flat. Dixon is about to talk to them about his problems but notices a burning smell coming from their patio. Silver has lit the film on fire in a trash can. As if we thought she couldn't get more unstable, we find that she has broken into Mr. Matthews' apartment, gotten wasted on a bottle of wine and completely flipped out. She thinks Mr. Matthews somehow convinced Dixon to break up with her and now that he has taken away the first person she's ever truly loved, she's not sure what she'll do to him. She begs him to fix it.
We've gotta say, we were left with our mouths gaping open after this episode. Silver went from zero to crazy in a little less than 30 seconds -- we couldn't have seen this coming so soon!
What did you think of last night's episode? Are you excited about the addition of Liam? Are you upset that Ethan and Annie broke up? Will Dixon ever be able to forgive Silver? Let us know in the comments!

This episode was alright. I can't say I'm surprised at Silver's behavior. I knew something was wrong when she got the Dixon tattoo. It's plain to see that she's having some sort of mania. Kudos to the actress who plays Silver because she did an amazing job portraying someone manic. I couldn't really care less about Annie and Ethan. Clearly Annie has some issues she needs to sort out. But I dont really want to see Ethan and Rhonda as a couple either. Adriana looked great in this episode but where was Navid? Hope we'll get some answers and resolutions next episode and I really hope Dixon doesn't completely desert Silver. Looking forward to seeing how things turn out.

Wow, the esp was good. Silver story line was predictable for day one. I knew it was just a matter of time she was going to flip from the time she started taking everything to heart. I wonder if she's this way b/c of another relationship in her past or b/c of the relationship she has w/ her mother. Her mother never cared or showed her any love maybe that's why it's hard for her as well. Just a thought! Liam is a hottie!!! Him and Naomi make a nice couple. I was sooooo sick of Annie by mid show. She is so annoying.
