I love Rockville! Josh Schwartz has delivered again.

Though the show’s attempts at witty dialogue often falls flat, and sometimes the acting gets a little unnatural, I still love Rockville, mostly due to the originality of the premise and the awesome musical taste. This show has introduced me to some new favorites like Passion Pit and Frightened Rabbit, and has also featured some bands I’ve loved forever like Bishop Allen and especially Earlimart.

I really appreciate the high production value that goes into the taping of the actual performances – beats anything I’ve found online, especially those crappy YouTube videos taken from cell phones. Case in point, check out the video of “Song For” by Earlimart : http://modestcomplexity.blogspot.com/2009/06/earlimart.html
